Youth Ministry Training(Video)
I led a full day of youth ministry training sessions for the Diocese of Sioux City. Click here to see the videos of the three sessions.
In early 2018, I traveled to the Diocese of Sioux City, Iowa to lead a Youth Ministry Training day for 25 youth ministers and DRE's from across the Diocese.
In the first session, I do introductions, we play the "Worship or Love Song" game, rethink ministry using a Desert Island experiment and refocus our ministry.
In the second session, I share about comprehensive youth ministry and the tools for how to accomplish what the Bishops ask of us for our ministry.
In the final session, we discuss a new model for youth nights, the importance of good questions for discussion groups, finding volunteers, building a parent board, sharing resources and answering questions from the youth ministers.
You can find all three videos in the playlist below. If you would like me to come to a training for your team, click here.

Life After the "Conference High"
One does not simply bring a young person to a youth conference and not help them continue to grow in their faith when they return home. Watch this short video on how to help youth continue to live for Christ after the "conference high" wears off.
On my most recent appearance on the Beyond the Pew video series from Ablaze Ministries, I talk about how to help kids continue to "fan the flame of faith" after attending a youth conference. Conferences have a special place in my heart as I had my conversion at a youth conference the summer after my 8th grade year. Many young people struggle to continuing growing in their faith in the weeks and months following an encounter with Christ at a conference.
In this video, I give some tips and guidance on how parents can assist their kids in cultivating a deep faith after the "conference high" goes away.

All Saints, All Day!
On November 1st, the Catholic Church celebrates all Saints Day! This often raises questions on why Catholics talk about saints, learn from them or ask them for prayer.
I addressed these questions on Beyond the Pew, a series from Ablaze Ministries, with a quick five minute video introducing the topic of saints and how we are to answer the call to become saints.

I am so excited to announce the new and improved video series for parents of teens from Ablaze Ministries called Beyond the Pew. We have been working on this for a few months and the first video released today. Ablaze Ministries will be providing weekly short videos on how to engage in our faith as adults and how to lead/parent young people. The four of us working on this project have many years of experience in working with youth and a few of us are parents with a wide range of ages between us.
We hope you will enjoy these videos and find them to be a great tool! I will be a guest on the show once a month and will share them with you here when that time comes around.
In Christ,
Taylor Schroll
