My Crazy Thoughts on Today's Daily Mass Readings. Today's Mass had me laughing my donkey off

I hear Scripture different than most people, and today was no exception. Today's first reading is absolutely soul crushing to a certain group of people and you would cry if similar things were said to you. The Saint of the Day, St. Agnes, is a great example but my issue is what she is the patron saint of because it doesn't line up well with how her life turned out.
