ABOUT
Forte Catholic was established in 2015 to answer a few simple questions:
What does the life of a Catholic who is striving to grow in holiness, at any stage in that process, look like?
What do a daily prayer life, holy friendships, spiritual growth, getting connected with the church(parish, groups, individuals), etc. look like and how do we do that?
Jeremy is one of the premiere Catholic worship leaders & joins Taylor on this week's episode to discuss their shared passions: sports, faith & music. They have gotten to work together at multiple events & finally turned on the recorders to share one of their conversations with you.
For the second summer in a row, Taylor traveled to the Laguna Pueblo in New Mexico to lead worship for a mission trip with Epiphany Youth Ministry from Katy, Tx. It was another incredible week of service & learning about the culture of the local natives.
Taylor has questions for our priest about what he's supposed to be doing during Mass (instead of zoning out) & then he shares a wild new theological thought that breaks Father Anthony's brain (yayyy!!)
Chris & Taylor debate whether the introduction of AI could help with ministry or hinder it. Taylor also shares a wild story about forgiveness(or lack thereof) in his heart and how difficult it is to forgive as Christ does.
At long last, one of Taylor's oldest friends rejoins the show to talk about her FIRST BOOK! Sacred Chaos is available for pre-order today! Jennifer travels an entire ten houses down the street to share why she wrote this book, how it can help Catholic mothers everywhere and also shares some insight about doing ministry with Taylor for 15+ years!
Chris shares about how his big trip to Rome didn't quite go as planned. He and his daughter went for the canonization of Bl. Carlo Acutis but with the Pope's passing, that was cancelled. Instead, they were able to attend the Papal Funeral and so much more in their time at the base camp of our Church. Chris also shares about losing a family member during this trip, how complicated grief can be and how we all experience it differently.
We have a new Pope! Taylor & Fr. Anthony discuss the election of Pope Leo XIV, where we were when the white smoke happened and how we're feeling in response to this lovely surprise of an American Pope! To close the show, we do a retrospective on Pope Francis and have a great discussion on his legacy and impact on our lives.
This one is for the Catholic nerds, anyone who has ever gotten bored in Mass & the ones whose anger problems you thought you had under control but...recently realized you didn't. The Prodigal Father returns to argue with Taylor about communion services, explain convalidations & laugh at Taylor's flaws. It's incredible!
We're back! After accidentally giving up podcasting for Lent, Taylor is back with Chris to discuss where he's been hiding, the importance of planning and how anger has been rearing it's ugly head! We've missed you! Hope you enjoy :)
This has been the most helpful tool for my prayer life! It solves the two biggest issues for me: not knowing what to say and getting distracted. I learned about this a few years ago and have shared it with countless people at retreats/speaking engagements and wanted to share it with you here. I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

Today, we tackle on of the greatest arguments against belief in God: the problem of suffering and evil. How could a good, loving and all powerful God allow evil to happen in the world? I share some of the Church's teaching on how to approach the problem of evil & discuss the Four Last Things: Death, Judgement, Heaven & Hell.
In this week's session, I explore some of the common Protestant objections to the Catholic faith and try to provide some answers to those challenges. In part 2, I tackle Sola Scriptura, the Pope, Saints, Mary & Salvation.
In this week's session, I explore some of the common Protestant objections to the Catholic faith and try to provide some answers to those challenges.
In this session, I explore the relationship between faith & science. We discuss how these are two essential components in seeking the truth that don't have to contradict one another. We also explore the Church's relationship with science, some of the greatest Catholic scientists throughout history & how miracles fit into all of this.
In today's session, we talk about the proofs of God's existence. We start with the famous five proofs from St. Thomas Aquinas, move in to some arguments from history and finally the arguments of personal experience.
In this introduction, I explain what Apologetics is, its role in building up our own faith & how it helps us to share our faith with others. We look at how Jesus answered questions, the importance of asking good questions, some best practices when sharing the faith and common pitfalls people often fall in to when trying to share the faith.
In part 7 of our Catholic Apologetics series, we share the Church's teaching on Homosexuality & Gay Marriage. The Church is very clear on both of these topics, both giving the theological foundations for her teaching but also guidance to those struggling with same-sex attraction AND how we as the Church should treat those in this community.
I was thrilled to be invited to join Ryan O’Hara on his podcast “Better Preach.” His goal is to make the talks that Catholics give the best that they can be! I got to share some of my worst and best moments as a speaker and talk a bit about my process of preparation and philosophy of what makes good talks.
I’ll be leading a new event for the Diocese of Dodge City, Kansas. It will be an evangelization night for High School students.
I will be leading a Confirmation retreat for St. Ann’s in Bartlett, TN.

Taylor has two major life updates to share, while Chris brings two stories to the table for your consideration. The first as "Am I the...Jerk?" and the second is "What Would Taylor Do?" in an embarrassing professional situation Chris found himself in.
